Dear Friends:

To everything there is a season, a time and a purpose. For 26 years, my mission field has been Coutin School. Throughout this lengthy season, I have served as classroom teacher, Dean of Students and Principal. It has been a wonderful and fulfilling time.

Recently, I announced to the faculty and staff at Coutin that it is time for me to transition to a new season of service. I have accepted a position in a school district close to my home and look forward to the new experiences for my family and I.

I have so many fond memories from the days and decades past. I am so grateful for all of you who have touched my life over the years. The early days of teaching history and literature was a grand experience. Remembering how we acted out crazy skits and songs in our Lip Sync/Talent Shows continues to bring a smile to my face. Celebrating the seasons and holidays was warm and festive. Helping to lead the school into a new millennium has been challenging and rewarding.

Now it is time to bid you farewell. Indeed, I hope that each of you fare well in the pursuit of your hopes and dreams.

With a thankful heart,

Rick Pendleton
